John N. Inglis

John N. Inglis, AOCA, CSPWC, graduated with honours in Drawing and Painting from the Ontario College of Art (OCA). After becoming a full-time member of the OCA Faculty, John served as Acting Chair of Foundation Studies and the Fine Art Department over three separate academic years. John was elected Chair of the Fine Art Department and served until his retirement at which time he received the A.J. Casson Award for Distinguished Service to OCA.

As an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour (CSPWC), John has participated in the CSPWC’s annual group shows, receiving many of its awards including its highest award, the A.J. Casson medal in 1994. In 2012, John was made a Life Member of the CSPWC.

John is a Council member of the OCADU Alumni Association and in 2012 received the Alumni Emeritus Member Designation “in recognition of long-term dedicated service to the Alumni Association and to the OCAD University.” John is a professional member of the Arts and Letters Club, Toronto.
